Reminds me of "Women Who Run With the Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. I believe there's a bone woman archetype story in there. It's been a while since I read it but as I was reading your essay, I had a memory of a fisherman catching a skeleton woman... Also a great book!

haha, not my hair, just a bit of one of those fake things you can put your hair up in a bun thing with. It was getting ratty, so I threw it out, then thought, "art supplies!" and grabbed it back out of the trash. I just recommended "Women Who Run With the Wolves" to my daughter. High time she reads it and I read it again! And, yes, the questions! You could journal for a month or more! Thanks for reading and coming along with me on my journey of exploration!
