As someone who never drew or painted until 2 years ago at 74, I love seeing work like yours. I can only hope to make progress and be able to paint what’s in my heart and mind.

Thank you! Just do what makes you happy and do it whenever you have a few minutes. I struggled for a little while about thinking I started too late, but that was an insidious little lie. There are no art police, so do what brings you joy!

It is such a joy to watch the evolution of your work! Whew! I can see you blossoming as you moved away from that hotel room table. I am always in awe of the twists and turns and adventure of your work, and I look forward to what is next!

I'm in a lifespace that's between evolutions — from Matron to Elder — and I'm using my journals to refresh the journey. It's hard and it's painful. There are periods I have no memory of. Ours was a family of secrets and I was well-trained from infancy.

What I do realize, though, is that I'm a damn good writer and I should take that seriously.

Stepping stones, indeed! I'm happy to know you are doing this work. You are a damn good writer and I know you have a fascinating lifetime of stories that others would be enriched by hearing. Write on, my friend!
